Policy recommendations on effective career paths for teachers and school leaders by EEPN project
The European Education Policy Network on Teachers and School Leaders (EEPN) project completed its first year dedicated to the topic career and professional development of school staff and issued its Policy Recommendations, based on desk research, inspiring practices from various European countries and discussions at the Annual Conference.
The Policy Recommendations are related to the improvement of the motivation to and attractiveness of the profession, the advocacy for high quality and inclusive initial education, induction phase, and continuous professional development of teachers and school leaders, as a right, the conditions to ensure equal access and equal opportunities to access the teaching and school leadership profession, democratic and collaborative school leadership, professional autonomy and cooperation between educational institutions at different sectors and levels with different local and regional actors in an open school approach.
