The EcoJustice Glossary, published by the Network of Education Policy Centers (NEPC) in 2025, is a powerful resource designed to support school leaders and educators in creating school cultures grounded in ecojustice values. It offers a shared vocabulary for understanding the environmental, social, cultural, and ethical dimensions of education in a rapidly changing world.
This publication is one of the outputs of the Lead for Ecojustice project, funded by the European Union, and co-created by partners across Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, and Slovenia, which aims to develop school cultures based on ecojustice values by building the capacities of education stakeholders and school leadership teams with the professional development programme for developing diverse and democratic school cultures focused on what is fair to all living beings. It reflects a shared belief: education must empower future generations to care for the planet and for each other.
